Event - Roald Dahl Day

13 September 2017

Year 1 - We shared the fantastic story of Matilda! We especially enjoyed watching Bruce Bogtrotter eating Miss Trunchbull’s cake. We decided to make our very own delicious chocolate cakes.

Year 2 - We continued with our book of Fantastic Mr Fox. We wrote a character description of Fantastic Mr Fox. We also drew and painted our character.

Year 3 - We continued reading our book the BFG. We then looked at a powerpoint all about Roald Dahl and wrote factfiles about him in our literacy books.

Year 4 - We continued with our class book Matilda. We read character descriptions of Miss Honey and Miss Trunchbull and compared them. We also made our own book covers for some of Roald Dahl’s most popular books.

Year 5 - In Year 5, we read different biographies about Roald Dahl and collected facts. In Maths, we solved Roald Dahl themed word problems.
