We once again welcomed children from St John Bosco to join us on our astro for some sporting activities. This time, it was the turn of some year 4 and 5 children, and the sports were dodgeball and cricket. The dodgeball was great fun, with the teams regularly changed and the games fast-flowing. All children grew in confidence and the quality really improved during the session. In the end, St Mark’s came out just on top over the series of games.

The cricket was really exciting too. The children were keen to play following our visit from the Warwickshire players and you could tell some of them had been practicing! Our catching was fantastic throughout and the batting and fielding in general were impressive. The first game ended in a thrilling draw with St Mark’s losing our final wicket with the scores tied. However, St Mark’s were too strong in the second game, largely thanks to a brilliant innings from Zahra and super fielding again, with Destiny taking the final catch to seal a comfortable win.

Thank you to Bosco for coming over again and to Miss Morris for supporting us in her first sports event with us. It’s great to see all the children from both schools get on so well. Everyone competes and does their best, but always in the right manner, showing exemplary sportsmanship. We look forward to further events in the near future.
