We had a fantastic day promoting the great work the NSPCC do, as well as enjoying a range of maths activities as part of National Number Day. Children wore something green to represent the charity and brought in a contribution to donate to the charity. We raised over £190 for the NSPCC and we made use of all of the coins to conduct practical maths lessons in the morning.
Later in the day, all classes completed a PE maths lesson too, combining exercise, teamwork and maths problem solving skills, which was great fun. Finally, there were challenges set on TT Rockstars and Numbots for the children to try. Even some of the staff got involved and attempted to top the leaderboard! Several prizes were given out in each class based on effort and improvement.
Thank you for all of the donations towards a very deserving cause and well done to all of the children and staff for embracing the day and really promoting maths.
