A large squad of children from key stage 2 travelled over to the Abbey Stadium in Redditch to compete in a swimming gala featuring 4 schools. It was an amazing event, with a packed poolside creating a lot of noise for every race. The gala is always a memorable occasion and our children certainly rose to the occasion, giving it absolutely everything in each race.
Almost all races were closely contested. We had a few individual wins and remained in contention throughout. The event ended with a series of relays, which were really exciting. In the end, we came out as Runners-Up, just two points behind Raddlebarn in first place. Our children were delighted and thoroughly deserved their medals.
