Sports Day was a fantastic event enjoyed by all children throughout the day. Key Stage 2 children took part in activities in the morning, before Reception and Key Stage 1 had their turn in the afternoon. Each class rotated and tried out different activities, all linked to the up-coming Commonwealth Games including athletics track and field, basketball, cricket and hockey.
Points were earned for each activity for effort, sportsmanship and performance. The scores remained close throughout the day with St Andrews just coming out on top at the end. A number of individuals were recognised with prizes too for their excellent conduct during the events. Congratulations to St Andrews and well done to everyone for giving it a good go in the hot weather.
Huge thanks to all the staff, especially those who ran activities. Thanks to all the volunteers for scoring, serving refreshments, providing shelter and helping to make the whole thing run smoothly. Finally, thanks to all the parents who attended and helped to make it a memorable day.
