Thanks to Chance to Shine and Warwickshire County Cricket Club, we were presented with the fantastic opportunity to take a group of 30 children to Lord’s Cricket Ground for the day to participate in a range of cricket related activities, including playing on the hallowed turf itself! The idea was to invite children from all over the country to come together to celebrate cricket and all it stands for in terms of the ‘spirit of the game’.
We had a brilliant day. We met one of the best all-rounders from the domestic game in England, Georgia Adams and the day was hosted by Mark Nicholas. To top it all off, we then bumped into Sachin Tendulkar briefly as we were about to head home!
It was a truly memorable day and one we won’t forget in a long time. Thank you so much for the invite and the hospitality.
