Event - Year 5 at Haden Hill House

26 March 2019

Year 5 went on an exciting trip to Haden Hill House, to learn more about World War Two, which was their current creative topic.

Year 5 were greeted by two ladies in role who were excellent in character! We spent the morning looking at old photographs and recreating scenes from different stages in the war then experienced what it would be like to go into an Anderson shelter as well as experiencing the Evacuee process.

We then learnt all about rationing, including clothes and food and even tried some beef dripping!

What a great day, taken back in time to World War 2!
