Event - Year 6 Visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace

9 March 2018

On Friday 9th March, Year 6 visited Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford Upon Avon.

In the morning we took part in a drama workshop where we got to act as witches and various other characters before bringing all of our ideas together for a performance in the grounds of the museum.

We also learned some phrases from Shakespeare’s play and what they mean in modern language before we had a chance to walk around and look at where William Shakespeare was born. We even stood on the same floor where he would have stood.

Year 6 learned a lot about what life was like for William Shakespeare and for other people living in Tudor times.

We all participated in the drama.
