We have been busy over the last few weeks at St Mark’s, competing in a cricket fixture, tri-golf festival and a basketball tournament too! These fixtures involved a range of children in key stage 2 and as ever, all children competed in the right way and did us proud.

In the cricket, we struggled for much of the game but managed to take late wickets and seal a dramatic victory, which we were delighted with.

The tri-golf festival featured our fellow academy schools of St John Bosco and St Mary’s and was a lot of fun with children trying out a range of activities competing individually, in pairs and in teams. It was a lot of fun.

Finally, our basketballers had a fantastic time at the home of the City of Birmingham Rockets. We were presented with a brand new school kit and enjoyed a full day of matches as part of the build up to the Commonwealth Games, where 3×3 basketball will feature.

Well done to all who participated and thanks to everyone who supported these events.
