On Monday 6th February, Year 6 visited West Midlands Police Museum as part of their Crime and Punishment topic. We explored the lock-up and had 4 different sessions learning about crime and punishment over the last 800 years, the history of policing, how different areas of policing works and how punishments have changed over time.

“I learnt about all the different punishments. It was so cool but I am glad lots of them have gone now!” HS

“Crimes have changed so dramatically over the years, there wasn’t any vehicle crime years ago because there was no cars. Theft has always been a crime but the punishment has changed now.” ZC
