On Thursday 19th October, Y6 travelled to Liverpool to visit the Slavery Museum. This supported our learning all about the Transatlantic Slave Trade in our History lessons. Our tour guide was fantastic and Y6 were able to answer lots of questions as well as ask their own to further their own understanding. We are so proud of how mature our Y6’s have been throughout this whole topic and whilst on the trip. A memorable quote from one of our children: “The difference is that we are educated now and we know right from wrong. We are going to make sure that this sort of thing never happens again and keep educating others. We should all be treated with dignity and respect.”
